Drug Trafficking was the primary offence type in 3,763 cases sentenced in the District of Puerto Rico between FY2018 and FY2025 (49% of the district's cases), with 467 in FY2025.

The median prison term was 70 months (5 yr 10 mo), close to the national median for drug trafficking offences (62 months) and longer than the First Circuit median (60). Half of prison terms fell between 54 and 97 months; 97% of cases carried a prison term.
